Why We Joined the Alliance for Chemical Distribution
Four things we'd ask of any AI tool in chemical distribution, and the reasons ACD felt like the right place for a company like ours.

We're proud to announce we have been accepted as members in the Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD). The companies in ACD take on the hard parts of this industry together, from Responsible Distribution, the standard they've held themselves to since 1991, to training, safety exercises, and speaking up for the industry in Washington. We wanted to be part of that work.
More of what a verifier reads now lives in software.
We build tools for customer screening and product documents, safety data sheets included. Our clients have to answer for every record those tools keep.
We'd ask four things of any AI tool in this industry.
Before an AI tool touches a customer, a price, or a shipment, it should pass all four.
- It shows where an answer came from. If it suggests a substitute grade, you can see the properties it compared and the documents behind them.
- It works inside limits your team sets. A new account is approved automatically only above the threshold you chose, and the borderline ones go to manual review with the full risk profile.
- It says when the data runs out. If the composition data on file is incomplete, it tells you there isn't enough data to decide whether the grade is sellable.
- It writes approvals down. Months later, you can still see who signed off on an offer or an order, and when.
Those four are the standard we hold our own platform to, and we keep raising it with our clients.
We'll see you in Arizona in November.
ACD's Annual Meeting runs November 10 to 12. We'd like to hear where AI is helping your operation so far, and where it isn't yet.
Thank you to ACD and its members for welcoming us.
